Hello!

You likely found this page by a struck of luck or the will of God. This website is dedicated to record my thoughts on philosophical topics and current events. It is intended to be updated regularly. There is no need to take anything written here seriously, these are merely random notes. If you feel like commenting anything my email is: viguera@protonmail.ch

Why I made this website?

Unfortunately most of philosophy is nonsensical and rarely has any useful value. When the time for action comes, instinct rules over philosophy. This same critique could also be made about the arts, such as music, visual, etc. It is good practice to be careful of what to consider as philosophy worth studying. The approach I took in this website is picking “great” philosophers of the past, who in addition were good at mathematics, to study as much of their thoughts through their very own writings. The bias towards mathematicians is because they, despite writing very complex ideas, tend to be good at keeping consistency and clarity in their writing.

What is the goal of philosophy?

Ultimately philosophy is intended to model everything that exists or model every conceivable idea, including modeling philosophy itself. Most philosophers have only bothered studying particular aspects of philosophy, thus never creating a unified body of philosophy. The only philosophies that had made progress are the ones that have structure “logical”. Still sometimes it is assumed that structures exist without proof, specially those that concern the study of history; thus many “false” philosophies with structures can pass as valid philosophies by virtue of appearing similar to the structured philosophies which have produced results, such as Cartesian dualism, geometry, relativity, cosmology, etc. The goal of philosophy is to attain the “Human Singularity”, a philosophy which encompasses all the knowledge humanity has acquired. This idea stands in opposition to “Technological Singularity” where higher knowledge is only acquired by technological enhancement. In the technological singularity all philosophies are scattered and lack any unity. The tech singularity strips humans of all freedom, since people have to becomes cogs in a large technological machine to bring all the scattered knowledge together; thus the human singularity is the only way for humanity to become free.
